A study was conducted by IOM and SUPA71 to determine the role and impact of migrant health volunteers (MHVs) during health emergencies in Thailand. The study took place from September to December 2023.
In this regard, SUPA71 would like to express our gratitude to the organization representatives who provided support for recruitment, data collection, and interviews. We hope that the findings and recommendations will help to design advocacy actions for MHV sustainability, resulting in better MHV structure and network development, increased stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, and, ultimately, the efficiency and effectiveness of an accessible, sustainable, and migrant-friendly healthcare system.
